    It’s funny, I kind of enjoy this part. I love fixing things and putting things together. This said, I run windows as my main because when I get off work I just want to turn my brain off and play games without hassle.

    Linux folks will probably downvote this, despite the fact I said I liked Linux. It can be toxic here on Lemmy… It’s why I enjoy this community. There should always be a conversion going on, if it’s too one sided then it’s just an echo chamber for people with worms in their brains.

      I liked it as a hobby also, but also switched back to Windows with a newfound appreciation for it (as well as doing in Windows everything I was told Windows couldn’t do -like decent tiling window management, cli). I feel like people are willing to make the sacrifices and denials for Linux due to conspiracy theorist / rich person-> bad beliefs, as well as cognitive biases based on time / effort investments.

      I got into the topic due to all the lies from the Linux communities and their toxic brigading fueled my new hobby of warning others that don’t have the free time and interest that I had.

      Anyway, thanks for the comment in light of issues!
