At least they stay in the water. Imagine if there was a crab even a quarter of that size that could live on land? Like, a crab that could climb trees and eat small animals? Now that would be cray-z

There’s a few in the Osaka aquarium and you can go through a tunnel into a little observation bubble inside their enclosure, see them pretty up close. They are huge.
That aquarium is by far the best I have ever seen. The image of the spider crabs just being huge and chilling in their tank is burned in my brain.
