So many bands from Chile, let alone most other brutal thrash bands everywhere else in the world, owe these crazy pioneering Germans their lives. Released in 86, this legendary album pushed the boundary of extreme metal, exploring what would be the proto-death sound.
Forgive me for this major glazing if you feel my pick today is a cop-out, but after days of hearing so much Chilean death/thrash I had to spin this origin point lol. Sharing my fav of this historic album, though, in natural fashion I recommend the whole god damn thing, even the tacked-on EP Flag of Hate that was reissued/bundled together in 88.
Absolute classic! Yeah, many extreme bands wouldn’t exist without these guys.
Always amazing. Have been to a Mayhemic concert lately and cut can really hear how early Kreator influenced them.
I was literally gonna post something from Mayhemic’s 2019 EP when I got the itch to go back to Kreator for today’s upload lmao.
@Myr This was one of the highlights of the three club shows this summer for me. This, Renewal and When the Sun Burns Red.
I will NEVER get tired of Kreator (yes, even the newer stuff, sue me). They were the first thrash band I ever saw live, and if I’m being honest, the number one reason why I love metal.
