    The point about puberty meaning a girl is “mature enough for sex”.

    Menstruation isn’t a sign of sexual maturity.

    Being pregnant as a teen is a serious health complication.

    I feel like the argument they were making was that if the girl has went through puberty (started menstration) she’s old enough and it doesn’t count as a child anymore.

    I was pointing out that this process occurs at age 11-12 for most girls.

    Girls.

    Menstruation or puberty is an irrelevant factor.

    Honestly I think age of consent should be set to 20. With exceptions made for a 2 year age difference.

    We don’t let people buy alcohol until 21. Don’t you think making a baby is a bigger responsibility than having a drink ?
