It’s especially bizarre and frustrating to hear this one constantly too, because most other regions on this list have extensive sanction regimes placed by the UNSC, justified or not. The real reason Gaza stands out here is the veto of any meaningful action on the part of the UN. The public outrage is in direct proportion to this institutional inertia.
I mean given there accusations that Israel has it’s hand in the ongoing horrors in Sudan as well this perhaps isn’t the wisest take from them. But since when have fascists ever been clever?
The UAE (basically Israel) is knee deep in the Sudanese war.
I’m upset about all of these. I’m just more upset about Gaza because it’s my own fucking tax dollars that fund the slaughter.
They don’t disagree that they belong on the list though
