I wonder if the party is splitting into two, to be named BC Owning The Liberals and BC Disunited?
Anyone from BC to speculate on the implications?
The conservative party in BC was basically non - existent prior to our last election. Before that our ‘conservative’ party was the BC liberal party. The Rustad came in with his Maga style politics which depressingly got him enough votes to be the opposition party.
As usual the far-right are eating their own again, and it’s not going to be to replace Rustad with someone more rational.
I imagine this is good for Eby?
Too early to say.
The BC Cons started imploding almost right after the election—or, really, throughout the entire campaign. They almost won because PP was popular at the time and polls said lots of people would vote “Conservative” (likely with little understanding of the BC Cons complete lack of experience or sensible platform). This led to BC United dropping out of the election (to not split the right-wing vote).
So… Who knows? What we learned from the last election is that if there’s a unified right-wing party with a charismatic leader, then they could reasonably win, even if they haven’t articulated a platform.
Rustad isn’t done yet. He’s resisting the boiling pot.
When the turd won’t flush…
You grab the poop knife.
“Professionally incapacitated” is such a sick burn.
lol. Cons eating their own. Figures.
