except google made sure get alot of the ad revenue, thats why content creator have to get brand deals, and promotions for thier revenue, or patreon. they made it so bad for some creators, they forced them out of youtube forever.
How much ad revenue do creators receive? I’m sure it’s still enough for them to want people to watch ads on their videos. If I’m wrong let me know. Also yes I know ads are a nuisance. That’s not relevant. I know ads are a nuisance, I watch them anyway for the point I mentioned.
If I’m watching something for free like on YouTube then I don’t mind the ads because some of that revenue goes to the content creators.
