'The Expanse' at 10: the outer space drama that should have been as big as 'Game of Thrones'

It's one of the 21st century's best sci-fi shows. If only "The Expanse" had found the audience it deserved.

      It’s only niche because it wasn’t marketed as a wide show to the masses. And subsequently was not a part of popular culture in the same way.

        GoT was niche for the first season or two. The first season had a Nielsen rating of 2-3. The final season got around 10-13.

        I started watching after the 1st season when HBO had a marathon of all the episodes before the next season premiere. I remember I couldn’t find anyone to discuss it because not many people had seen it.
