Just curious…
Are there people here who have an ergonomic keyboard (e.g. at work), but also use a laptop often that does usually not have an ergonomic keyboard?
Does it work? Does it feed good? Or will it be harder for me to hit the keys when switching the device between work and private time?
I’ve been doing this for years in various setups. Windows, Linux, Mac (Mac using different shortcuts), different nice, different keyboards. It’s kind of up to you and how much that stuff messes with you. Current, long term setup, is ergonomic keyboard (Microsoft) on a MacBook pro. My hands distinguish keyboards well. Every now and again I don’t myself hiring the wrong shortcuts. Part of that is using the same keyboard on Mac and Linux though
Stick with it. You get used to it, and ergonomics are absolutely worth the investment
It all depends on how much you type on each. If you usually type a lot on both of them, you’ll get used to it fairly quickly, easier than with keyboards that have extremely similar setups but with differing placement of Ctrl, Fn and various Shift keys.
I use both. Switching is easy, because you get used to it eventually. If you need to type a lot, an ergonomic keyboard will be a lot nicer, so you’ll end up preferring that.
