Summary
A group of friends struggling with midlife dissatisfaction reunite for what was meant to be a simple getaway, only to find themselves trapped in a deadly survival situation deep in the jungle. As they confront a massive and relentless anaconda, old resentments surface and the group is pushed to its limits in a fight against nature and themselves.

I’m kinda tempted by the trailers. Not sure how unhinged this will get but I do miss those circa late 2000s comedies where shit gets completely out of hand and you have no idea what will happen next. Jack Black is actually pretty enjoyable in those, I find him to be way less cringe when he’s just part of the chaos instead of trying to force funny moments.
Until this very moment, I assumed that Steve Zahn was reprising his character from the first film (somehow). Turns out, that was Eric Stoltz, and I’m reconsidering the degree to which I suffer face blindedness.
Will not be watching this but all I know about the first is the reverse waterfall. Did they keep that in this remake?
I wanna see this, but fuck Jack Black after how he treated Kyle Gass.
It’s a light movie with funny moments and good pacing - just as I expected after seeing the trailer.
