    Daniel Kish, a man with blindness, uses echolocation to navigate the world and teaches others how to do it. He had done a bit of tv stuff and I think a TED-like talk or two about blindness and perception.

    I don’t have any direct quotes, but you may find your answer from him.

      I remember the late Ben Underwood whom had the same talent. One bit stuck with me comes to mind when Ben was walking the neighborhood with a tv reporter… “What’s to my right”, reporter asks. “{Click click} It’s the side of a house, uh with stuff in front of it.”, and Ben replies with more detail, “{click click} …cans, yup garbage cans.”
