Did Congress approve the allocation of money for this project? No.

Just a reminder to any DC area contractors who may or may not be involved in upcoming unnamed construction projects: a couple bags of sugar or 2-liters of cola added to a truckload of concrete will drastically alter setting times and compromise the final strength of construction.

Just a fun little tidbit to tuck away in your brain for later.

Couple of bags (>= 2kg) or 2 liters of cola (200 g) to a truck load? Not only is there a magnitude difference, I also doubt that 2 kg will do that. Normal amounts are up to 0.1 %, say you need 0.5 % to make it significantly weaker. 10 cubic yards, 7.5 m³ of concrete, are about 18’000 kg. 0.5 % of that are 90 kg.

A more important reminder to contractors: if Congress doen’t fund the slparticular project, you WILL NOT be paid for your work or materials. Trump signing the contract doesn’t make the federal government responsible for the cost and of course Donald won’t pay it from his own pocket.

Absolutely. Just look at how Trump treated every contractor who ever did work for him on his buildings in New York. As soon as the work is done, sue, counter-sue, and never pay.

Sure sure, but he’ll definitely pay me this time because my company is different. All those other guys were just incapable of doing the job right.
