After faltering in his plan to found a new ‘America Party’, the world’s richest person is returning to the GOP fold
In the aftermath of his spectacular falling out with Donald Trump last year, Elon Musk blasted the Republican Party as a corrupt force that was “bankrupting” the United States of America.
But now, after months in the political wilderness, the volatile tech baron has indicated that he will once again devote his enormous fortune to electing GOP politicians, this time ahead of the midterm elections in 2026.
“America is toast if the radical left wins,” declared Musk on X Thursday. “They will open the floodgates to illegal immigration and fraud. Won’t be America anymore.”
I really wish people would understand that billionaires don’t speak for “America” and that their interests are almost exactly opposed to the interests of regular people. This is the case regardless of where on the political spectrum your beliefs happen to lie.
Kind hard to believe they don’t when you let them run your country and shit on your laws.

The level of hopium among that bunch just amazes me. I was thinking they might have one of the highest P/E ratios, but there are apparently many companies with even higher P/Es.
Some of those seem to be medical research outfits, and my guess is that people are gambling on some incredible moonshot kind of thing. I guess people believe fElon’s claims about robots, taxis and their “AI”, but given his track record on delivering an EV for rigs, let’s just say I’m a bit skeptical. The guy also seems to be distracted by a million other things that have nothing to do with running any of his companies.
