I just don’t know how to not ruminate about the fact that my country is running fucking death camps. There were ICE raids in neighborhoods in my city, neighborhoods that my students lived in (before they made it impossible to teach and be trans).
The government of my state is absolutely failing. I advocated for a child in foster care for a while - when I found messages between her and an adult man and tried to get anyone to do anything about it, they suggested that I might be sexually abusing her myself.
Everything is backwards. Skill and merit don’t matter anymore, while they pretend they’re getting rid of “DEI” - which in effective means they’d rather have an unqualified white guy than the most qualified POC or queer person.
I just don’t get it. Why is the world so fucking evil?
The world is evil because psychopaths control all institutions and hierarchies of power. We developed a system of government that allowed this to happen and then did nothing for 70 years. This is what it looks like when psychopaths are pulling most, if not all, levers of power.
