Although President Donald Trump claims interest in Greenland, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Sam Altman might've already invested in a 'Freedom City' there.
Considering the development of hypersonic missiles, Greenland would do little to defend/protect during modern warfare.
But the location combined with low population, thermal power sources, would be ideal for development for an attempt to create a future climate change shelter. If a select group wanted to keep cool on their own big island as the rest of the world burned, this is how I would expect them to plan it out.
