Not Christianity, Jesus.
I don’t know anything about him, because all we have is fan fiction written centuries after his supposed existence.

Humming “always look on the bright side of life”
That’s Brian and he’s not the Messiah. He’s a very naughty boy.
Wasn’t he part of the People’s Judean Front?
Splitters!
He said some pretty things which you can cherrypick, sure.
He also said that if your eye causes you to sin you should tear it out, that you should leave you family to follow him, that if someone slaps you on one cheek, you should offer them the other cheek to slap, and that if you don’t do all that or believe he exists, you’ll be tortured in a lake of fire forever. Not to mention all the stuff in Revelation where he tramples people with their blood ‘like a winepress’, and has a sword coming from his mouth, and everything.
Just normal healthy stuff, right? /s
In general, negatively. Some of his teachings match with modern moral ideas, but many more are horrifically backwards and cultlike, and major contributors to the current state of the religion which bears his name.
Jesus is the only reason I tolerate the bible in any capacity. It’s just a shame that seemingly more people who beleive in it put more stock in the magical hocus pocus and not the moral lessons taught by the dude they name drop the most.
Right?
Like Jesus is based af. Bunch of people that came right after were on some fuckshit, but hippy dippy Jesus is a whole vibe, and I’m about it.
If you need any religious figure to help guide your moral compass then you should question your own worth.
Never met the guy. Feel the same about him as buddha and odysseus.
