The American Prospect reported that several Democrats in closely contested districts would be voting for the ICE appropriation. “They’re terrified of being labeled anti–law enforcement,” an unnamed source told the liberal magazine. “They want this to go away so they can talk about the cost of living more. Problem is, it’s not going away.”

And the non-Americans here were asking why we hated the “opposition” party so much.

This sounds like a great opportunity for David Hogg to enter the conversation again, supporting primarying these fuckers.

Oh man I don’t think we can take another Jeffries temper tantrum about how people are making it so difficult for him to just do nothing but look professional.

Democrats, only want to do anything when its easy and doesnt distract from profiting.

I can’t wait to vote against Eric Sorensen in the primary. That guy is a real chode and has betrayed the common man at every turn.

    Democrats are so fucking stupid:

    1. ICE is no longer law enforcement (if it ever was). They are Trumps roving gang of thugs laying siege to American cities. We don’t get to exist as a free society if ICE continues to exist.
    2. Don’t fucking talk about cost of living when you tried to gaslight us that everything was fine under Biden in 2024 AND tried to bury Mamdani last fall.

      1. Especially since one of the dipshits that voted for this was Henry Cuellar, who was protected by the party against progressive challenger Jessica Cisneros. With their help, he eked out a victory in the primary of fewer than 600 votes.

Transferring the whole ICE budget towards universal healthcare would go a long way towards addressing cost-of-living. The Democrats, however, want to keep suckling the corporate teat.

We need a new party, that isn’t Blue nor Red. Its mission: to get rid of the Trump Regime, and to create a voting system that protects our politics from Hapsburgian inbreeding.

they support this, because they still want the hand that feeds them,ie billionaires who also support the gop. also because they can use this as political capital to get elected in the next elections

I see now why people keep saying “both sides”.

Maybe they wouldn’t have started this if elected, but I’d they’re happy to continue it, I don’t want to see them elected ever again.

This is why there’s an uptick of unaffiliated Gen Z voters. They don’t want the toxicity of Republicans and want to avoid the weakness of the Democrats.

They have been showing their true colors since at least 2006, when they got a majority and congress went from being a rubber stamp for whatever GWB wanted to being a rubber stamp for whatever GWB wanted that made disapproving noises first.

Been registered as Independent since 2015. I was able to choose my ballots back then so I always voted Democrat. Then I moved, same thing. Democrats may have some party members that represent my ideals - surprisingly a couple of my own State’s Representatives - but the party as a whole can fuck off.

I hope the Millenial and Gen Z populace that is politically involved can actually bring unity to the DNC, but I don’t have faith when there’s 1 party that’s an umbrella for ideals and beliefs and 1 party that is wholly unified against non-whites and non-christians

Edit: I remember when I went to Uni, a few people invited me to a couple TPUSA rallies because of some of my hatred towards the DNC. I remember telling them hell no, because Democrats are mostly too conservative for me, so anything TPUSA represents is just vile

outside of AOC, bernie, and people zohran

These politicians are held up as the “crazy left” or whatever derogatory term the right want to use to paint the entire Democratic party, when in reality the DNC campaigns against them and does their damnedest to keep them out of positions of influence. Which is so fucking weird because they are wildly popular with their constituents.

i think someone on here or reddit mentioned the AOCs, bernies, zohrans of the DNC are there as a release valve for any criticism against the old guard, they have them elected so they can avoid a total take over of the dnc by the “left”

Did you mean Gen X as gen Z is in the younger than millennial camp.

Don’t get me wrong a specific subset of Z actually did get housing and good jobs because of their parents covid money but otherwise excluding that minority it doesnt match them and overwhelmingly matches the apathetic Gen X
