I haven’t shopped there since sometime before the pandemic. I think I went in looking for something I couldn’t find anywhere else, and they didn’t have it either. That was the last time I was in the store. They don’t have anything I want that I can’t get somewhere else. The store near me could disappear, and I wouldn’t know it for years, probably, I never go to that side of town.
I stopped years ago, but not for moral reasons. I’m just mad at how they left me behind.
Target used to be a place where the average Joe could go in and buy staples, like a blue shirt. Hey, I need a blue shirt, I’ll go to target.
Then they killed off all of those lines and store brands for designer labels and other bullshit. If I wanted designer labels I’d go to their stores, no idiots I want a blue shirt. Nothing else.
I’m probably the minority there, but I just stopped going. I don’t want Kate Spade pants or whatever. I just wanted pants at reasonable price.

I love Kirkland t-shirts from Costco, although I have heard they are thinner and shittier now. Mine are several years old.
Sounds like you just wanted a Walmart that charged 15% more for everything in exchange for not shopping at Walmart.
