WASHINGTON – Following the killing of Alex Jeffrey Pretti in Minneapolis, FBI director Kash Patel has advised American citizens participating in anti-ICE demonstrations to leave their firearms at home, while reiterating how guns are still welcome and encouraged in schools across the country.
Just in case anyone is missing it, this is a satire article from a site like The Onion. I totally agree with the sentiment it’s expressing, but I don’t think that it’s ideal to post it in this way, since it looks believable as real news.
The problem with satire is that it gives inspirations to idiots.
Is it really satire when Kash Patel literally said that?

Sir this is not a
WendysUSAI mean satire is, or at least good satire, based on reality. In this case the ‘based’ covers almost everything with the schools part being the tiny grain of fiction.
But yeah, almost just reality tbh
If it was shared on a world news communtiy, I would agree. But this is a Canadian humour community and The Beaverton is an established satire site here, similar to The Onion.
That being said, a flair would be a good compromise if Lemmy supports it in the future.
Post flairs are coming in a future version from what I understand.
A workaround could be editing the title to add
