Unless someone is a on a serious carnivore diet, then we probably eat “vegan” more than we realize.

I had an English muffin with some homemade wild raspberry jam and a banana with my tea this morning. I have already planned an Indian lentil curry and rice for supper tonight. I don’t know what I’m having for dinner today, but I could have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I suppose.

A whole day without meat. Not that I actually considered doing that because “vegan.” But because that’s what sounds good to eat today. Tomorrow, maybe some smoked oyster stuffed venison loin chops for supper perhaps or some eggs and bacon for breakfast.

Disagree, theirs so many people who think a meal isn’t a meal without meat. “Im eating the meal for the meat”. Onetime at a restaurant I was considering getting this plantain dish and my friends looked at me like I’m crazy for getting an entree without meat ???

They might think that, but they are still eating meals without meat and not even thinking about it. Maybe it’s not enough vegan enough to make you happy, but it IS something more than nothing.

This feels very culture/location specific. A majority of people probably don’t eat a lot of meat, a majority of Americans do eat a lot of meat.

They probably eat more than they need to. But high meat prices should put some brakes on that.
