I sympathise for the athletes. However, we did this with South African athletes to put pressure on the Apartheid regime. All pressure mounts up.

what, that olympic athletes are rich? i know a few too many olympic athletes (none of them have any clue what poverty is) and trained a couple. why?

I mean it might suck for them personally, but they know what they signed up for. You know as an Olympic Athlete you’re representing your nation. That you’re basically a propaganda tool. It goes with the territory.
