i can’t count how many times i’ve been and seen others get shamed as a lib loser for thinking voting matters. on the other hand, it turns out the right just liked fascism all along.

It might seem like you’re seeing one group, but you’re actually seeing two or even three. The first group are actually bots or other influencing accounts that are focused on getting people to not vote and are ones you mentioned in your first comment. The second is the group you mentioned in the comment I am replying to, they are people who recognize that the voting system is heavily entrenched with systems that are designed to make votes unheard like electoral college, gerrymandering/any form of districting, announcing winners before final counts (eg 2000 election), preventing other candidates from running, etc. Then there is a third group (which may overlap with group 2) that recognize that the slide into fascism has been constant regardless of who they vote for, as Democrats have never actually rolled back policies in any meaningful way since (at least) Nixon.

Every leftist I’ve talked to falls into one or more of the last 2 groups. They vote in every election, but recognize on a federal level it’s more symbolic than truly doing anything. I hope this provides some insight.

As an aside, you’ve been living in a “full” fascist state since the actions taken post-9/11, the PATRIOT act being a major flag.
