Proteins are so complex that, without doing actual Tuskegee type shit, I didn’t think it’s realistic. So I’m leaning heavily in the wild specific bank, but I won’t rule out the other option completely.

I think it matters a lot actually. Developing biological weapons is a pretty big no-no, and I would expect that kind of lab to have extremely stringent controls on what goes in and comes out. A regular “run of the mill” lab can be surprisingly permeable though, but most of the stuff that might get it out is not going to be “hot” like COVID 19 was.
