@Viking_Hippie Thank you for these. Really witty, especially Unsinkeable II at which I actually laughed out loud reading it!
I own a couple of inflatables, a tiny foldable, car trunk capable dinghy with an 4 hp motor, and a mid sized trailerable RHIB (rigid hull inflatable boat). The dinghy is named cuinmeri (phonetic spelling of Queen Mary in Spanish) and the RIHB is called patchwork, because of all the patches it had before I retubed it. And yes, I’m a near boomer (early Xer) dad.

Patchwork before retubing:

wakey wakey
If these are dad jokes, what would a funny name that isn’t a “dad joke” be like?
I’m not sure it’s possible to humorously name a boat without getting punny in the dad way.
Unless it’s a yacht or some other super expensive kind, then you can do villainous puns in stead like naming it what less egotistical people could have spent the money on, I guess 🤷
“College Fund” would be an example of BOTH simultaneously IMO
I guess you could also give it a Gen Alpha slang name that someone old enough to be a dad is too old to understand.
Like, call the boat “Low Key Salty”. Simultaneously a play on words and Gen Alpha slang. Best if used for an ocean-going boat docked in the Florida keys.
Where’s the C-Word?
I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen a boat named “Cunt” OR “Cancer” 🤷
The Seaward was just one of so many good jokes in AD seasons 1-3.

I like Dexter’s Slice of Life.
My dad’s friend had a boat named the “Oy Vey”
Should’ve been oy bay.
Had a friend whose dad named his boat The Other Woman.
From Dexter

One dude had “Hail Seaser”.
If you’re not dad naming your boat, you’re doing it wrong.
“Jizzle Drizzle”.
I saw one in Amsterdam called Koekblik (biscuit/cookie tin).
