Dying from violence only hurts for a little bit. Becoming homeless hurts for a very long time. Especially if you get a disease from lack of healthcare.

Maybe , but I doubt most of their citizens would share your view, especially if a change after shutdown solved the problems making you miserable

I share his view - in the miserable quagmire approaching humanity with the ecosphere collapse and global autocratic efforts. Homeless people will be executed on the streets without a second thought by neofascists brainwashed into servitude of the elite.

There’s no way for America to vote their way out of this - the constitution and Bill of rights has been repeatedly soiled. If the democrats or even independent parties somehow made their way to power, it would only be a matter of time before the far-right regrouped under a new banner and led to more violent extremism.

America finally collapsed under its own weight, as is the fate of all empires.

I guess this is why the rest of us are disappointed in them.

They caused it themselves by neglecting the vote, a third are running, another third curling up into a ball while the third third abuse the other two.

Meanwhile, we have to think about what it’s like for them and be understanding.

They refuse to take any responsibility, on any level.
