I thought this post was a great idea, so decided to copy it! This is my Pixel 8 Pro with GrapheneOS, some highlights are:

  • Most apps installed via Obtainium, except for banking apps etc that have to come from Google Play
  • Setter search bar
  • Quik SMS app
  • Pipepipe for watching Youtube
  • Lawnchair launcher
  • FairEmail email app
  • Dailer, Contacts, Calendar from Fossify

I understand why the post you mentionned is in this community (although it’s debatable), since it is the continuation of a previous post. However, I don’t feel like this one should be in a community specifically about linux phones.

What is it about Graphene that disqualifies it? Is it just the requirement to have Google hardware? Or is AOSP not considered Linux even though it uses the Linux kernel? Or something about proprietary drivers?

The AOSP is based on a modified version of the Linux kernel, so it is a Linux in that sense, but using it is quite different from using more traditional GNU/Linux distributions.

From what I take from the OSes listed in the sidebar of this community, this place is intended for linux-based phones which are not Android. There are already communities which are focused on Android/GrapheneOS/LineageOS, so it’d be fairer for this one to focus on the rest.
