Imagine the sticker shock for drivers in downtown Los Angeles when they pulled into a Chevron station and saw the price: $8.21 a gallon.
I remember going over to other states and seeing gas being 1-2$ less.
Nowadays about 1/3 of the vehicles I see are electric. And homes are fast tracking solar. Not because of environmental pressure most of the time, its due to $$. Even with PGE gouging us (50c per kilowatt), I remember calculating it at around half the price of gas around here (with insurance/wear and tear/ etc… all calculated in). And solar on houses will pay for itself in around 8 years.
3.20 sounds like a dream!
