Im in my thirties and my first memories of us are the Tuck Rule and losing a SB to the Buccs.
Our highlight was that time Derek Carr almost played in a playoff game.
I remember a handfulof quarterbacks, both drafted (Jamarcus Russell, Derek Carr, Terrelle Prior) and retread (Rich Gannon, Aiden O’Connell, Carson Palmer) and a whole lot of my dad yelling at the TV, but not a whole lot of winning.
Same, I was a freshman in highschool for that super bowl. The last 24 years have had glimmers of hope, but we always find a way to fuck it up. We were looking great in HS, then they decided to trade Gruden away, and aside from that 1 super bowl, it’s been just downhill ever since. Hopefully Mendoza pans out and we turn it around, but it is hard to be optimistic anymore.
ISTG Being a Raiders fan is a hereditary disease. I inherited it from my father and will pass it onto my kids, but I won’t pretend it’s healthy lmao.
Agreed. Last 23 years have been hard.

It has been a historically futile era for us…
