I heard they also want to hold the elections on a working day. Insane.
Quite sane, if the aim is to prevent working people voting against you.
We get a half-day off so we can go vote in my country.
I walk 350m up the street to the Legion hall, wait in line for 10 min, mark my paper ballot and drop it in the slot. It’s over fast: half-hour, tops.
I think we have a rule that we have to have a polling booth for every X people, and it’s gotta be in the same postal code or something. But I also cheat, as I’m working from home near where they gotta be, so it’s faster than normal.
In Spain and Poland we vote on Sundays.
Hah! In America, we don’t even vote!
