In the practice within the first five minutes, both Gasly and Hamilton went off because their brakes locked up without any reason. Especially Hamilton was clear to see as he was on a straight. Both McLarens have random snaps as confirmed by the radio messages. Colapento also went straight because the car decided this was the best option. It seems like there are too many controls in the car that make it almost impossible to predict what will happen. As a driver, I would be more cautious because it feels like the car is controlling you instead of the driver controlling the car. Bizar stuff.


It’s electrical regen. You will see it all season on every track in practice. Practice is where the teams test set ups and try to set the regen as aggressively as possible whilst still remaining drivable. This will mean in testing you see cars spin as they push the limits of the regen.
