Robots need a spot on their head us non-clankers can stick magnets to that causes them to breakdance until their batteries die.

Later, the clip shows two officers escorting the mechanical troublemaker away, in what is probably the silliest perp walk you’ll lay eyes on. One of the cops even places a hand on the robot’s shoulder, humanizing the display.

this is a mischaracterization. The cop was maintaining physical control. Either because he didn’t want it walking away, or because it was tippy. or whatever. but it certainly wasn’t a sympathetic pat.

I don’t think it’s implying sympathy. Just that it makes it feel more human. Humanized.

The robot stood behind her, waiting for her to get out of the way. How is that terrorizing?

It doesn’t matter that you don’t think it is. You weren’t there, she was, and she was startled.

If you’re taking exception to the word “terrorizing”, it could just be a translation thing.

I am terrorizing my local community by being trans and by your logic their opinion is valid.

Being startled is a long way from being terrorized. While it may be a translation thing, it’s more likely this was a clickbairt title. “Woman was Startled by a Robot Waiting Patiently Behind Her” just doesn’t have the same punch.

“Old Woman Overreacts” could be another title.

          Source:
Me. I help out at a local village social club full of old women and, oh yes, do they love you overreact and complain about everything. Everything!!
“Did you hear about that fire that happened down the road? It made a right smell, it did. It was caused by a tumble dryer, you know. Back in my day it wouldn’t have happened, we didn’t use dryers. We used our hands and hung things the line, that’s the proper way to dry clothes. Kids these days always trying to do things wrong.
And did you hear about Glasgow train station catching fire? A vape store caused it. It wouldn’t have happened back in my day we didn’t use vapes, we smoked. Kids these days always wanting to yada yada blah blah moan moan blah…”
