I swear, not enough people recognize about how much the “advertiser friendly” algorithm push is ideological rather than to simply maximize profits.

  • Preying on the correct assumption that people value social acceptance and clout more than their personal liberties, and will gladly censor themselves for greater exposure. But we already know the people at the helm of the world are a bunch of “predators” so what else is new.

      The idea that people willingly censor themselves for these sites is wild. If the algorithm hides my post because it contained swearing, I guess I didn’t really want to post that badly. I’m not going to engage with a site that tries to police my thoughts or actions, which is why I think most of us left reddit
