This is good news. I’m glad that they won’t stretch it out and it will have an ending. I’ve enjoyed it so far.

Are the books concluded? Are two more seasons enough to conclude the show? I’m glad to hear it’s not over with season 2 though. Really underrated show. Unfortunately Scavenger’s Reign did not have that much luck. :(

There hasn’t been a new Silo book since the third one came out, several years ago.

There have been a couple short stories. One written by Hugh Howey and another written by someone else.

At the pace it’s going 2 more seasons will maybe get like 2/3rds of the way through the books unless they pick up the pacing, I feel.

Whenever I see announcements like this, my first thought, after being through it so many times now with different shows (cough cough the bear), is that they had enough material for 3 seasons, but shoehorned in a 4th because it’s popular, and they want to milk all the viewership they can. I expect next season to be full of fluff and filler. I really really liked the first season of SILO, and I like this second season less, I’m so much more interested in the journey of discovery in SILO 17 than I am with the happenings in 18, like all the answers are in 17 to everything. I find myself frustrated with the narrative this season. Still a good show, and I’ll still watch through the end, for now.

There are sooo many shows with an awesome concept and world, but it turns into a drama about a few characters interpersonal connections. Completely dropping the original point that made the story interesting in the first place. Yeah character building and relationships adds something to a story but don’t make that the whole damn show when there’s a fantastical situation happening in the trailer.

Great news. I really enjoyed Season 1. Season 2 seems to have a bit more problems with pacing, but I still like it.

Even started reading the first book.
