Please move US Americans to their own fediverse servers, please! The constant political spam is annoying af. I keep blocking them but every day there are new ones posting.

It’s hilarious you posted this from Fedia.io, a US based instance. Users like you shouldn’t be throwing rocks.

Nothing is stopping you from running your own instance.

Edit: to the users saying “but but but HOSTING IS DA HARD” then you should be even EXTRA careful to not be throwing rocks huh?

It’s like the opposite of when US people complain about Europe from Lemmy.world.

By the way, is there any non-US Mbin instance?

I get your sentiment, but I think you’re making it sound easier than it is to set up your own Lemmy instance. Afaik, you have to be pretty knowledgeable to set up an secure instance, and pay for a domain, and hosting etc. So there’s a few things right there that stop someone from creating their own instance.

Be the change you want to see. Why do you bring up the US so much in your posts?

p.s. !europe@feddit.org seems to be safe, no amerians. And is somewhat active.

But shows you how a continent of at least 500mil pop, produces one half-functioning community, while NA with their 300 something mil, get a “fediverse”. (they’re so cute thinking it’s fediverse, while it’s all just US politics and only of a certain subset of their political “spectrum”, lol)

        !yurop@lemm.ee is active too.

        produces one half-functioning community

        Lemmy.world, lemm.ee and feddit.org are Europe-based.

Out of the top 10 most active Lemmy instances (https://fedidb.org/software/lemmy, filtered by MAU), there is only one US-based instance, and it’s hexbear.

        In the top 20, you have discuss.tchncs.de, lemmy.zip, sopuli.xyz

In fact, the only generalist US instance is https://discuss.online/, and is only in the top 40.

Unfortunately, there will be no one left on lemmy. Maybe a couple of Germans.

Europe-centric communities on reddit were niche, but existed. On lemmy they simply don’t exist.

Move yourself. Americans seem to have no problem moving into any area they desire, hence the colonist title.
