My party recently:

  • Got to level 18

  • obtained the swords of kas

  • I have 17 levels in Bard and one in druid currently, because of that I can cast wish with the right feats, which I have currently.

  • my character recently reunited with her last living family member, her sister, who is now a warlock.

  • I want to nullify the deal, since the magic can’t be taken away and having your soul gone sucks, but none of us know who the patron is.

  • Could we learn who through divination spells? And if so:

  • could a wish spell nullify the pact and un sell her soul? I would assume yes since the reality bending part is so ambiguous and encompassing

Talk to your DM! Does the warlock have a copy of her pact that she (or anyone in the party) can read? This would be the perfect time to call on any Wizards or diviners you may have helped out in the past.

It may feel like you need to spring a Wish on your DM, so they can’t twist it against you, but actually, the spell, and any big moments like it, will be way more fun if you work together to figure it out. When your DM knows what you want to happen, they can find ways to work it in, and the story almost always ends up better for it. Collaborative storytelling like this is the whole reason we play TTRPGs and not only video games
