Because, we have here something called “Swiss Qr Bill” (standardized e-bill with Qr code) and some shops send you the bill via email. Would be nice, if i could just tap the qr-image and open with app.
Binary Eye can do this https://f-droid.org/packages/de.markusfisch.android.binaryeye/
if you want to scan the the qr code from your phone screen, this app can scan from an image: https://f-droid.org/packages/com.example.barcodescanner/
I believe you will get a code that you can paste as virtual barcode to your bank app?
I love this. It’s on F-Droid
It clearly isn’t open source, but on Pixel devices, swiping up to the switcher, and then tapping the image is enough to open Lens and get the URL.

It’s available on F Droid.
I really like this app, like it just works really well and it also allows you to generate barcodes too.
Thanks, but “image format not supported” with png.
But yeah, looks great. And all their functionality in 4.6 MB, while the SECUSO one can only do Qr and has 6MB.
That’s weird. I just tried to make a QR code and save it as an image and it worked just fine for me.
V1.10
Screenshot the image on screen and feed the snap into the app.
what kind of file did you give it?
but also, keep in mind that QR codes don’t always contain an URL. I would expect that it contains a code that your bank’s app knows how to hande, but not much else.
Yeah, the payment info. It should just translate the qr to text and be done.
Png with Qr code.
