    I mean, he’s kinda right though. Dems are known for suppressing free speech. Look at lemmy, it’s 99.9% blue and you once say something like “Trump gud, illegal immigrant Kamala bad” and instead of a factual argument with a birth certificate attached, you just get a ban.

    Dems want an oppressive regimen where everyone who disagrees with them is silenced. So, I understand why he’s worried.

    And if this does happen, you’ll see lemmy cheer. Lemmy values free speech and independent opinion only when it aligns with their.

        There was a pond called reddit. The water got too warm and all the yellow frogs migrated to the swamp nearby. They now claim that if you’re not a yellow frog, there’s something wrong with you, and they’ll kick you out of their swamp if you don’t turn yellow tomorrow.

        I thought we were building a better reddit here. But turned out we’re building an echo chamber where snowflakes can whine to each other all day long. Not sure what this really achieves as 99.9% of them always agree with each other.

        Political activism is only valid if it actually reaches someone who disagrees, and when done in a way that it might convince the other party to at least consider your points.

        Lemmy fundamentally fails at both simultaneously. Kinda explains why US politics is such a shitshow.

    He would love to be able to say X was shutdown, sounds muuuuuch better than X ran out of money because he ran it into the ground.

    He tried to do the same suing the advertisers who boycotted him. It wasn’t about the lawsuit, it was about having something to point at when it collapsed.

    Could it be that he’s making the calculation that if Kamala’s elected, Tesla will be fine anyways, but if Trump gets elected, everything helping electric car makers will go to shits except Tesla, because of his nauseating brown nosing?
