We just need to remember this isn’t so much about Harris herself, it would have happened for any candidate under retirement age.

It’s good, and it’ll definitely help beat trump.

But we shouldn’t act like she’s this great candidate, she’s barely doing the bare minimum, it’s just compared to trump or Biden she’s killing it because most of the people she went to school with aren’t dead or in nursing homes.

We can still do better in 2028, or 2032 if she holds up campaign promises.

Politicians like Kamala should be as “moderate” as the party goes. She won’t do everything progressives want, but I think she’ll do enough to make a difference in the right direction.

It’s a golden opportunity for her, just hope she doesn’t fuck it up.

Bullshit. She’s great, with a long track record to back that up.

Not only is she not old and not in mental decline, but she’s also charismatic, engaging, and she is progressive. Congress and the courts will limit her policies of course, but that’s by design, the government is not just the president.

Beyond that, with picking Walz and other strategic picks in her campaign, she’s shown that she knows how to form a good team and avoid landmines.

I’m looking forward to the Harris presidency and voting For her, not just against Trump.

        Literally the bare minimum…

Beyond that, with picking Walz and other strategic picks in her campaign, she’s shown that she knows how to form a good team and avoid landmines

She picked someone with charisma voters like…

Again, you’re setting the bar for “great” ridiculously low.

I’m not saying she’s bad, but she sure as shit isn’t great.

            Obviously…

But again, that doesn’t make someone great, pick a random jabroni from your county fair and they’d be better than trump too.

            Hell, you might get Wallz

Look at all the polls and everyone online talking about her. She’s our leader now, by simply enough of the party consolidating around her by liking her (like 93% of Democrats polled want her), and honestly it’s the fact that she excites us. That matters in elections because of down ballot effects, and even policy by electoral mandate. Effective leaders make a difference. And she is effective

                I do to…

                Compared to Biden.

I honestly don’t care who replaced him and have been saying it forever. Lots of Americans agreed.

My point is, that doesn’t mean we support her platform, which basically got anything progressive from her primary ripped out.

It just came out today. People had zero idea what her policy was before that, most dont. But she’s not trump and under retirement age.

I’m happy we got this much, doesn’t mean it’s enough

No, it really does matter that it’s her. Just because there’s a few other good options out there doesn’t mean there aren’t also a ton of bad ones. I recently took a trip down memory lane seeing clips of the 2020 primary, and Harris was at least up there in viability.

For example, would a VP Amy Clobuchar spark this much energy? Or dare I remind you we even had the likes of Tulsi Gabbard running? Not to mention the dozen no name folks on stage we all forgot about.

Biden picked a solid VP (who also kicked his ass in the first debate) and I think she’s done a great job changing the narrative. Give her a bit more credit and don’t fall into the bs DEI narrative.

        Really?

Because she’s moving “to the middle” policy wise, so if that’s what you liked about her…

Did you think she was charismatic? Because most didn’t. To the point she dropped before anyone had a chance to even vote for.

She’s the candidate, she’s better than trump, and I’m gonna be happy to vote for her.

But making her out to be better than she really is ain’t helping anyone. And if you like her for the 2020 primary positions, well. She’s left almost all of those behind. Her platform just got announced and she’s not doing any of the stuff she talked about back then.

This is true. Remember before Biden dropped out the polls showed her polling as the worst VP ever and the media kept saying how bad she was? I mean whatever it takes to be Trump but…

The way the US corporate media transformed Kamala Harris from a national embarrassment to a transformative pioneer overnight – without even pretending to care about anything that she thinks or believes – is a powerful testament to how potent the science of propaganda is:

        It’s not just propaganda.

People don’t seem to be treating her as some progressive Messiah, or someone that’s going to save America.

She’s just someone under 80 years old. And voters really really wanted someone besides trump and Biden.

The media wants that type of candidate tho, because they get page views. But I don’t see anyone falling for it.
