If Christianity taught believe in yourself instead of an Invisible Friend, a lot fewer of them would worship Trump.

Yeah, Trump being invisible too just gets them all confused.

There was actually an early sect of Christians called the Gnostics. That was sort of their whole thing.

A core belief was that everyone was the child of God, and thus, was God.

They also believed that Jesus asked Judas to go to the Romans.

The early church wiped them out to the last, and we only know what we do thanks to some sparse records and modern archeology.

As in the gnostic gospels? As usual, the ideas that ended up having the most muscle behind them became the “truth”.

Pretty sure that they named themselves. So closer to propaganda.

I mean, that is very cool, but there is nothing to support the claim that Satan has ever whispered any such thing.

I dunno, the Christians might be on to something. Definitely some people around who need to believe in themselves a bit less.

Satan is the only character who tells the truth in the Bible.

By Christians he’s seen as the enemy.

I mean, you don’t even need one, but you could be a card-carrying member of the Satanic Temple.. They’ve come out and said that anyone who wants to join can do so, no fees necessary. I would view it as more of a donation to their cause.

I am a card carrying member. I think I have sincerely held religious beliefs that some court cases should be protecting right now. I know small comfort, but it’s better than nothing.

I first read the Satanist Bible a year after leaving Christianity. It’s not only a parody of the Bible, it’s also all about believing in yourself. I found it very inspiring. My Christian family was not amused.
