Yeah, our customs/taxes are that exorbitant.

I have not done this myself but from what I’ve heard, it is cheaper for Indians to fly to Dubai, buy stuff like flagship smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles, cameras, watches, perfumes etc., and return to India.
