There’s a level of professionalism I didn’t quite expect here. That’s the effect of propaganda, I suppose, but it seems like the Yemeni forces gave ample warning for the ship to cease and the crew to evacuate. I cannot imagine what would motivate a shipping captain to continue despite the dangers of losing the vessel and crew. I know they’re paid fairly well as it can be a real shit job, but I just cannot fathom thinking anything is worth being aboard a vessel that is about to be attacked as opposed to surrendering it and cooperating.
