Exactly. Drunken words and actions aren’t just synthesized by alcohol.
Sometimes I make bad decisions, but don’t blame that on me, blame bad-decisions-me. Everything I do is a good decision, after all!
That motherfucker just makes boozy brunch plans for me after he finishes all my liquor. He gets to come out earlier and earlier. His decisions are my decisions insofar as I am responsible for his actions and have to support his lifestyle. But I am in effect his chauffeur.

Sure drinking doesn’t excuse shitty behavior, but from a pragmatic point of view the concept of State Conditioned Learning applies, and it won’t hurt to take up your issues with drunk them to affect positive change in their behavior. But I don’t really know about all of that, because I’ve had a few beers.
