It’s partially a skill level issue that people are negligent about and are not competent and unbiased about assessing. Pitbull rescue, training and handling is for experienced and skilled adults who can control large powerful dogs. Not a dog for children or for unsupervised visitations. A PhD thesis is approximately equivalent to someone working full time on a specific subject for four years, if you include coursework and such into the time.
