It’s a hot time in the old town tonight!

This bean… Is not an ordinary bean!
This type of all or nothing rhetoric is bs. It’s ok to be nostalgic for a time that was better in some ways while rejecting the ways that it wasn’t. The fact is, the rise of the internet has made life a lot more complicated and brought new problems even as some have been solved.
I for one enjoyed the movie a lot. Had fun with it.
Being already established, you have a few advantages over the newbies. You know about how a few different instances federate and work, and you know whether or not you like your instance.
Recommend your instance. Or if you wouldn’t, whether because it’s niche or doesn’t work well in general, recommend a generic instance, even if it is .world, because it will probably work and give a good experience.
Oregano?
I know it doesn’t fit the trilogy thing, but you left out the best Rocky movie: Rocky IV.
Enjoyed the series but I think it helped me nail down my feelings on the Life series.
At the start it was more of a goofy, semi-social pvp game. Kind of helped me scratch that nostalgia itch for UHC while not being super competitive or serious.
As they went on there were new gimmicks to keep things fresh. Still fun, but lost what competitiveness was there and became almost entirely social and roleplay-y. Not bad, but not what I was hoping it would be.
Along the way the rules, gimmicks, and social games introduced a lot of ambiguity (are we friends with them? Am I allowed to kill them? Etc)
I know it’s not good content by today’s YouTube standards, but I’d like to see a straight up, no frills, PVE/PVP event like UHC with the HC folks. Team based, get the banter, even let people edit if they want. Keep the stakes low and deal with the fact that some people are better at the game by teaming them with people who aren’t.
I’ll still watch anything Etho puts out. Maybe I’ll also go back and rewatch old UHCs.
I use Connect on Android primarily.
OCR and especially AI image processing takes a lot of computing power, much much more than filtering plain text.
Fair on the confirmation bias. I guess I should’ve said that I see this post every couple of weeks, even though I have a keyword filter blocking anything with the word “Musk” in the title.
I wasn’t aware that Lemmy had much of a personalized algorithm, beyond a simple upvote/down vote system with older posts falling down the list. Comments might boost it in the Hot sorting maybe? I doubt the content of those comments matters much.
I’ve got a conundrum with this post. Somehow, every time it’s posted (every couple of weeks) it lacks the word “Musk” in the title, which bypasses my keyword filter and it shows up on my feed.
Next time this is reposted could whoever does it put Musk in the title so I don’t have to see it?
IIRC, he was messing with the kids and knew it was off because the lights were off. He proceeded to put his hands on it and convulse wildly as a joke.
No, that’s Brita.
Better is the name of a commonly kept freshwater fish that’s very territorial against other members of its species.
