For what it’s worth, for cyberpunk my personal fave 3 are

• The Shockwave Runner (John Brunner), which introduced the concept of a computer worm and is arguably the first cyberpunk novel, written in 1975(!).
• Neuromancer
• When Gravity Fails, George Alec Effinger. Middle-eastern tinged and quite good.
• (Does the Quantum Thief count? I don’t think that’s really Cyberpunk per se, though)

It’s “Neuromancer” by William Gibson. A burned computer jockey gets a chance to get his ability to “jack in” back, by doing a heist against a corporate stronghold in low earth orbit, after being hired by an A.I.

We were trying a game. We read through the rules for an hour, played another 2 hours and finished the first (of 4?) rounds, and said “fuck it” and went for drinks. My BGG complexity max is about 3.5/5. I don’t play often enough to keep all of that in my head.

Blackgaze is a much wider genre than I would have imagined initially… You can go from stuff like this to Astronoid which skips the harsh vocals, and then you’ve got Unreqvited with orchestra movements in there. Heck, even Alcest has mixed it up (though I think that Les Chants is a damn-near perfect album for my tastes - varied vocals, harsh bits giving way to pretty bits, tons of melody, and the drumming reflects all of that).

Probably not, but they did state last year that the extra money they made from the gas station (they kept it competitive with other places) was used to keep the yearly “admission” price the same.

I typically have 100-200. It’s usually a “let me come back to this in a day or three”, which may or may not happen. Or a thread of “doing research on a topic” and then getting pulled to something else, but not having time to summarize/organize for later. Plus, as others have mentioned, sometimes you need the tab session history.

I really appreciate y’all saying what a monster or computer illiterate I am, though. Don’t tell my boss, she’ll wonder what I do all day.
