  • Plasticity, advertised as CAD for artists and made by a single dev. It isn’t free, but you own the copy you buy forever and get a year of updates after you buy the copy.

I ended up on this piece of software because it has really beautiful design and runs well on Linux without any compatibility layers. There’s a 30 day free trial if you want to check it out

  • I just used tap water, although I did install a whole-home water filter about a year ago, so all the water goes through a pre-filter, a pretty substantial filter with carbon filtration, and then also a water treatment process called TAC (Template Assisted Crystallization) which doesn’t get rid of hard water but makes it easier to clean and remove hard water scales.

I pretty much just make Americanos these days at home, but I have yet to have a better cup from a store and I don’t really buy expensive beans or anything.

  • Unfortunately, Know Your Customer has done a lot of damage to privacy, but there’s still a lot of exchanges where you can get Monroe with Bitcoin without Know Your Customer. And since Monroe is actually truly anonymous, you have a truly anonymous currency at that point.

And the Monroe developers are working on making atomic exchanges work better, which are peer-to-peer trading of coins with low overhead and fees because it’s direct. No middleman.

  • You’re substantially increasing your chances of developing some form of cancer vs baseline though.

Great video by Howtown on this that I think everyone should watch, at the end of the video here’s a snip of health outcomes vs alcohol consumption based on the most update to date science. The increased risk on the chart is per year, so with with 5 -6 drinks per day any given year you have ~1.5x the likely hood of developing an alcohol consumption related health problem, like cancer.
