“Ewwy… ewwy… EHnhhhhh”
Love these guys and their song.
Do you think it’s possible that stone masonry is, adjusted for inflation, more expensive today than it was a hundred years ago despite improvements in technology? I.e. Cheaper, shorter lived building materials/techniques generates reduced demand for stone masonry, causing fewer stone masons like yourself to exist and ply the trade, increasing scarcity and therefore cost.
Edit: also, huge admiration for your trade. I love stonework and wish it were more common.
I’m not who you replied to, but there is a big stack of ansible playbooks for it that make it pretty pushbutton. They primarily use docker. This is what I used and I got it setup in like an hour.
“Wow, you’re really shit at bargaining. They really took you for a ride!”
Character design on right is evocative of Yu Yu Hakusho. Or maybe it just looks like a young Genkai?
Amen. The layer system works the way my brain works. Top tier, hard to use anything else.
Actual advice for anyone seeing and wanting guidance:
If you’re waiting for a day when every citizen says to themselves “enough is enough” and then stands up and walks outside to start the revolution, without communicating with each other, that’s never going to happen.
If you want a revolution, you need to be organized. That means joining an organization and being ready for the call when it happens. So if you want a revolution, I urge you, please join a group. Do your best to join one that emphasizes mechanical action, but join one. Even if it’s small, these groups find each other and coordinating a bunch of small organizations is way easier and more feasible than a multitude of individuals.
I also want to emphasize that joining the group doesn’t necessarily mean “giving a bunch of time and resources to the group”. Many groups are happy to just have you contactable so they can keep you informed of actions and group initiatives (voting or otherwise).
I’ve got recommended groups if people want them, just ask. But please, join one and start building the revolution now.
Description sounds like Saint Slime
Seconding rainbow plant life. This lentil curry is one of my favorite homemade meals I make period: https://rainbowplantlife.com/wprm_print/5540
Man, fraggles really do love radish though.
Big fan of “The Bunny with the Pearl Earring”.
Don’t know if I’d say “people” want more of this. Me, a nearly middle aged adult does, but the traditional battle system is more than enough for their primary audience who are children.
More education is definitely needed - that’s the stage the movement is at. But you (whoever is reading this) could be the one to educate people. The emphasis of most of these local chapters is education, and they’ll teach you how, where, and when to educate people.
Reminder that the system doesn’t have to be two party. Ranked choice voting (aka single transferable vote), proportional representation - these things increase political competition by making more parties mathematically possible and give us greater control over our government.
It’s already been implemented in some States and municipalities across the country. If yours isn’t one of them, it could be. There are several orgs trying to get this done such as Rank The Vote. Check to see if you have a local chapter and how you can help them!
That sounds fascinating. If I were interested in those shows, where would I start? Are there at least some that are easily listenable to on the open internet?
I’m not jazzed about that part either. I’m trying to support this simply for the potential it has for general strike. Nothing else.
Really appreciate that. Thanks.
