Yeah, I know. Its just frustrating. After Ent we went a long time without any Trek TV shows and then we got Discovery. Although it wasn’t perfect it scratched an itch for a lot of people. Then we got a lot of shows. We were told that there was going to be Star Trek all year long, and that there would always be a show airing all year long. Now it seems that every current show is coming to an end or already ended and we’re left with a lot of unknowns. A young adult college Trek and maybe a non Starfleet workplace comedy (as well as the last 2 seasons of SNW I guess too).

I’m honestly going in hopeful. I wasn’t sure about Lower Decks when it came out and now its one of my favourite shows. I really hope it does turn out good.

So… on the first point, hasn’t every series had at least one character who has to find themselves throughout the series? Weasley in TNG. Nog and Jake in DS9, Harry was on his first posting after the acadamy I believe in Voyager, Tilly was a cadet in Discovery and later Adira joining the crew and trying to fit in, Uhrua’s whole story in SNW is that she doesn’t know where she fits in, Prodigy is about a band of misfit kids trying to find a place they belong, even Worf’s whole arc is about him trying to find who he is and where he belongs as well. This is something that Star Trek has always explored.

I have some concerns. This kinda looks like a bad Degrassi rip off in space. I hope I’m wrong and it’s actually a great show. Just remember, we lost Discovery, Lower Decks, Prodigy, and will lose Strange New Worlds soon, for whatever this is going to be.

Probably. Its most likely going to look like the steam machine except it’ll run on win11with an Xbox gui instead of linux. Probably be quite locked down in regards to software and store access as well.

Nope. Trust has been broken too many times. I don’t even buy anything anywhere near release anymore. I won’t buy anything anymore unless it’s either an indie game or its on sale and even then I deep dive the reviews and make sure I’m not wasting my money.

The regular price of Red dead 2 on steam is still the full release price even though the game came out 6 years ago. That way they can mark it 70% of and still overcharge.

I don’t know about other people, but I can barely smoke a whole joint in one sitting in a day. My wife on the other hand can smoke half a pack of cigarettes a day. I don’t really know many other people that smoke weed though. I actually smoke less now that I ran out of my home grown stuff I grew last year. The commercial stuff in Canada is way too strong for me.

And I read that Tilly is only in a couple episodes.

This whole thing seems like its just a charade to deflect Albertans spite away from the Feds and instead towards BC, because everybody involved has to know that cutting BC out of any pipeline deal was a terrible way to get BC onboard a pipeline through BC. Even people who wouldn’t normally care seem to be pissed off about this.

No multiplayer paywall, but they’ll probably try to charge you some sort of subscription anyway that’ll end up costing more in the long run.

I played the demo this morning and really enjoyed it. It seemed a little rough around the edges, I had some problems navigating the ship and finding rooms, but it seemed pretty good. Its on my wishlist now.

Man, I was soooo excited about the PS5, but then it turned into such a shit show to get one that I just put my money into my PC and I never even got around to picking one up when availability became more reasonable. I don’t think I’d ever really want to get back into the console gaming space anymore.

I honestly assumed that she’d be one of the main instructors. Especially with Micheal saying something about Tilly being the Acadamy’s longest serving instructor (or something like that) in the Disco epilogue.

I generally play single player games and have had little to no problems. Any issues I’ve had have required very little tinkering to fix and I’ve solved them all by simply searching online for the problem and finding out that its a common issue and someone has posted a step by step fix.

The biggest issue I’ve had is with baulders gate 3 multiplayer which I eventually fixed, but I can’t remember how anymore. Single player worked fine right out of the gate.

I’ve also had better luck playing older games on Linux vs Windows. Heroic Launcher also works great for anything you’ve purchased on GOG, Epic,and Amazon too.

The first time I heard about Residential schools was about 2 years after I graduated high school. This was also one of the first times (definitely not the last time) I was truly ashamed of my country.

I think most of the problems with Canada Post is the commercialisation of it. 95% of my personal mail delivered to my community mailbox is flyers and scam inivitations to MLM’s. I’ve stopped regularly checking it every day because its always all garbage that I imeadiatly throw out. I usually check it every other week now. Plus if I get a parcel its almost always just a slip that I have to take to shoppers drug mart (not the more easily accessible post office). Its literally more convenient to get packages delivered by anyone else, because they will actually bring them to my door instead of waiting an hour in line at Shoppers so that an underpaid Shoppers drug mart employee can get me my package that any other service would have put directly into my hands.

I’m a contractor that goes to tons of houses every week. The Maple MAGA crowd hasn’t gone away, they’re just quieter now with all this 51st state BS. I used to have to deflect a ton of MAGA propaganda when i went to customers houses, now people seem to just turn off FOX news when i walk through the living room, or test the waters with vague comments about Carney. I try to steer the conversation away from politics and towards literally anything else. Pro tip, people love talking about their pets.
