@Tempus_Fugit The local geese are pretty used to people, though some are more wary than this one. I gave it a light denoise in Darktable, but nothing extreme; I find images from the OM-1 usable up to ISO 6400.
@Tempus_Fugit I love the size, weight, and price. The sharpness at the long end is a bit of a weak point - I’m not at f/7.1 here for extra DoF. I’ve been thinking about upgrading to the first generation Panasonic 100-400.
@KevinFRK Swifts are aptly named. I took over 2000 pictures (often of empty sky that contained a swift a fraction of a second earlier) to get a few I’m happy with.
@ShyFae Domestic geese are descended from greylags, so if you saw one in North America, that’s probably what it was. Some breeds look very close to their wild ancestors.
Hybrids do occur, but snow X Canada doesn’t really look like this.
