Look I spend a lot of time with hexbears, they are the most vocal communists on lemmy and none of them are saying this. Perhaps you have simply misunderstood them. I’ve literally never seen anyone suggest we are ready for revolution and should do one right now in a serious manner.
I don’t have to strain too hard, my wife is a brown immigrant and I recently armed myself for that exact scenario. That’s not the same as just taking to the streets in a half assed, unplanned spontaneous “revolution”.
You’re free to believe what you want, but I’ve had this conversation at least a dozen times. Yes I’ve engaged sincerely, yes I confirmed that that was precisely what they were saying. Your lack of belief does not a strawman make.

Have you ever spoke with them in good faith and asked what they mean and if they seriously believe revolution is possible under the current material conditions of the US empire? I am sure you can find someone who might say yes to this but it is in no way close to the consensus. I’ve personally never encountered it
